The geekist reference I've ever seen on a popular TV show appeared in last night's Veronica Mars episode Weapons of Class Destruction; the nerd who framed a bully was also a fan of Ubuntu: "it's got a Live-CD, 2.6 kernel ... "! I don't actually like the show, Nora watches it, but that reference made up for the usually unbelievable story.
